Overview

Consistent, operator-independent MFR results

The KAYJAY/2006/AC adds automation to Method A testing: a motorised cutter slices the extrudate at precise intervals and a prelogic program handles preheating time, test time and MFI calculation — removing the operator variability of manual cutting and giving repeatable results shift after shift.

It is the right choice for continuous production-line QC in polymer, pipe, film and compounding plants. Manufactured in Mumbai, CE marked and supplied with a calibration certificate.

How the test works

Step by step

  1. Set temperature & loadSelect the ASTM/ISO test temperature and standard weight for your polymer and let the barrel stabilise.
  2. Charge the barrelLoad the pre-weighed polymer, compact it and preheat for the specified time.
  3. Apply the weightPlace the load; the molten polymer extrudes through the standard orifice.
  4. Cut & measureMethod A — cut the extrudate at fixed intervals and weigh each cut. Method B — a displacement sensor tracks piston travel for MVR & melt density.
  5. Calculate the resultMFR (g/10 min), MVR (cc/10 min) and melt density are computed, and on computerized models stored, averaged and reported.
