Bond strength decides whether the label stays on

Adhesive tapes, PSA labels and construction adhesives are graded on peel strength, tack and shear. Under-spec adhesion is the number-one cause of labels lifting, tapes releasing and tiles debonding.

This solution supplies the peel, seal and shear testers for tape / PSA / label labs, plus the IS 15477 tile-adhesive UTM configuration for construction-adhesive manufacturers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the standard PSA peel test?

ASTM D3330 / D903 / ISO 8510 at 180° or 90°, on a peel tester or UTM — you record the force per width required to peel the tape / label off the substrate.

Should I buy a dedicated peel tester or a UTM?

If you only test peel, a dedicated peel tester is more economical. If you also need tensile, shear, cyclic or bond testing across many geometries, a UTM covers all of that plus peel with the right grips.

What does IS 15477 cover for tile adhesives?

Shear bond, adhesion, pullout, dolly-pullout and tile-compression — the full test suite that Indian tile-adhesive certification is judged on. Our Adhesives Testing Machine is configured for exactly this.

Do you supply loop-tack or rolling-ball tack testers?

Not at present — those are niche instruments outside our range. Peel and shear on the UTM / peel tester cover the standard PSA characterisation methods.
