Adhesives Testing Machine (IS 15477)

A computerized twin-screw Universal Testing Machine for Adhesives, Ceramic Tiles and Mosaics — designed as per IS 15477 to determine Shear Bond, Adhesion, Pullout, Dolly Pullout and Tile Compression properties, up to 50 kN capacity.

  • Computerized twin-screw UTM to IS 15477
  • Capacity up to 50 kN (5000 kg)
  • Direct display through a 4-line × 20-character 32-bit microcontroller
  • Complete fixture set for tile and mosaic adhesive tests
Made in IndiaISO 9001:2015CE CertifiedExported to 60+ countries
Overview

Bond strength for tile and mosaic adhesives

Tile, mosaic and construction adhesives are judged on how strongly they bond — a failing bond means lifting tiles and callbacks. IS 15477 sets the methods for adhesion, shear-bond, pullout, dolly-pullout and tile-compression testing that adhesive manufacturers and end users rely on.

International Equipments configures a computerized twin-screw UTM around IS 15477: up to 50 kN capacity with a 4-line × 20-character 32-bit microcontroller and the fixtures needed for the full test range — 50 mm² dolly pullout from a 300 × 200 mm cement slab, a horizontal 40 mm³ slab three-point failure, and 100 × 100 mm tile de-bonding. Manufactured in Mumbai, CE marked and calibration-certified.

How the test works

Step by step

  1. Prepare specimensBond tiles or dollies to the substrate as per IS 15477.
  2. Fit the fixtureFit the appropriate fixture — dolly-pullout base & holder, shear-bond loading plate & jig, or flexural loading nose & jig.
  3. Set the methodSelect the test mode on the microcontroller (adhesion, shear, pullout, compression or flexural).
  4. Run the testThe crosshead loads the specimen at constant speed while the load cell records the force.
  5. Read resultsBond, shear, pullout or compression strength is shown on the microcontroller display.
